My stay at the Grand Hotel & Suites was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic and it was quiet, clean, and comfortable, but I had some issues with service and room cleanliness that left me wanting more. Overall, it’s decent for a short stay, but I might consider other options for longer visits. 🏨✨

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, but it felt a bit outdated with some maintenance issues like a warped floor and a dark bathroom. I also had to wait over an hour after check-in to access my room, which was frustrating.
Service
6.0
While the staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, the communication wasn’t great. I was told breakfast was included but later informed it wasn’t, and the restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed.
Location
7.0
The location was ideal for visiting nearby attractions, but I did feel uneasy walking back to the hotel in the evening due to the seedy area and presence of vagrants.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast had a solid selection with both hot and cold choices, although some options felt limited and it seemed to lean towards more traditional UK fare.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had nice facilities like rooftop hot tubs, but during my visit only one was operational and it was too cold to enjoy. I also found the parking cramped and challenging.

I had a fantastic stay at Grand Hotel & Suites! The staff really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, especially during check-in when I was upgraded to a spacious two-bedroom loft suite. The only downside was the hotel’s location, which felt a bit sketchy at night. Overall, a great experience with some minor hiccups.

Rooms

The loft suite was spacious and had kitchen facilities, which I appreciated. However, I heard it wasn’t ready when I arrived, even though I was told it would be.
Service

The staff were super friendly and accommodating from the moment I arrived until I left. They really made my stay enjoyable!
Location

The hotel is conveniently located near the Eaton Centre, but I felt the neighborhood wasn’t the safest in the evening, especially for solo female travelers.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was included and had a decent variety like fruits, scrambled eggs, and sausage. I had to order bacon separately, but it was definitely worth it!

I loved the rooftop jacuzzi, although it was too cold for me to use it. Valet parking is a must, as the parking garage looked like a real nightmare.

During my recent stay at the Grand Hotel & Suites, I experienced both fantastic service and some disappointments. The room was beautifully furnished and my overall comfort was high, but I felt let down by the sudden change in breakfast policies. Having always enjoyed their breakfast in the past, this was a significant change for me. Still, the staff were accommodating and helpful, making me feel welcome. 😊

Rooms

My room was a lovely 2-bedroom loft featuring a lounge, kitchenette, and well-appointed bedrooms. Everything was comfortable, yet I noticed the bathrooms could use a bit more counter space.
Service

The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist me. I appreciated the free shuttle service to town, which made getting around much easier.
Location

While the neighborhood wasn't the best, it was close to downtown and many attractions. I did feel a bit uneasy walking around at night, but I never faced any issues.
Dining

I found the complimentary breakfast buffet very filling and delicious, but I was disappointed to learn about the new pay policy for returning guests like myself.
Facilities

The hotel offers handy facilities like room service and valet parking. However, I had no time to enjoy the pool or gym during my stay.

My stay at the Grand Hotel & Suites was a mixed bag. While my room was spacious and comfy, the overall service left much to be desired. I enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool, but the breakfast didn't hit the mark for me. Overall, it had its charm but definitely fell short in some areas.

Rooms

I found the room quite spacious and fairly quiet, which was nice. However, there was a bit too much furniture for my liking, making it feel a bit cramped. Adjusting the temperature was also tricky since I arrived to a freezing room.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff seemed bored and a bit grumpy, which dampened my experience. However, the evening security staff was really friendly and helpful, proving that not all interactions were negative.
Location
7.0
The location had a lively vibe, close to shopping and restaurants. Although some might find it a little run down, I didn’t feel unsafe walking around. It's pretty convenient for sightseeing and transportation.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was plentiful, but honestly, I didn’t enjoy the food much. I also noticed a warning about dressing appropriately for the dining area, which seemed a bit odd. There are some great food options nearby, though!
Facilities

The swimming pool was gorgeous, and I really loved the rooftop jacuzzi! It was great to unwind there even with the snowy weather. Room service and valet parking options are nice perks, too.
